This Easter, Liverpool City Council partnered up with local women’s running group, Girls on the Go, helping to deliver an Easter egg surprise to vulnerable children across the City Region.

They have collectively managed to donate over 2500 eggs to the appeal, after wanting to support and contribute to their local community especially given the financial challenges currently faced by residents. The eggs will be disturbed across the city’s children’s centres, as well as the families involved.

Girls on the Go founder, Stephanie Barney expressed how important it was for the group to give back to their community, especially during the cost-of-living crisis. Many children go without receiving any eggs around the Easter period, and therefore the group wanted to make sure this appeal would make a difference.  The group wanted to team up with local charities/ appeals and this initiative seemed like a great way to carry on giving back to their community.
