Liverpool half marathons 30th anniversary

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Liverpool half marathon!

with over 9000 people signing up and just under 8000 completing it, the race has gotten more popular as the years go on.

What was originally named the Liverpool International Half Marathon, started in 1994. Over the years, the course has changed, and in 2005 and 2006, the London Marathon Company even served as the host. But now, it has calmed down and started using a recognised course.

Hundreds attended to watch and show support for the runners and cheer them on to the finish line.

The race organisers, BTR Liverpool, are partnered with 8 different charities which enable runners to raise money for people in need while simultaneously running the half.
