Children growing up in Liverpool study

The University of Liverpool launched this research study midway through 2023 where they are inviting 10,000 babies and their families to take part.

Children growing up in Liverpool , also known as C – GULL, follows a child from the early stages of pregnancy in their mother’s womb with the hope to be all the way throughout their life.

The aim to improve the health of children in Liverpool, not only for the lives of the babies involved in the study but also for all the lives in Liverpool to be improved over the years.

Now, the babies and their mothers involved in the first recruitment that took place last year are describing how the study has already been rewarding and takes little time.

Amy Mahdi, a senior research midwife at Liverpool Women’s Hospital and part of the team leading the project speaks more about the project.
