Drones seized at Grand National

Restrictions were put in place for flying drones at the Grand National over the 3 days ahead of the event taking place.

In order to protects the safety of attendees and horses as well as assist with the overall security put in place.

Three drones were seized by police as they were flying in restricted areas.

This resulted in Merseyside Police locating the operators and taking the equipment from them for breaching the restrictions, offenders could also be found liable to prosecution.

With nearly 60,000 people at the festival, Merseyside Police made several arrests throughout the weekend for various different offences.

Despite this, they still said the atmosphere was mainly positive from most race goers.
